My History with Pilates
I have taken Pilates classes for over 10 years and fell in love with this form of exercise from the beginning! My appreciation of Pilates grew even further in recent years when I discovered the Body Harmonics approach which emphasizes the integrity of each movement. Over the years, the owner of the studio and many of my other instructors encouraged me to become certified; I decided to earn my certification in March 2010 in order to bring this wonderful and transformative form of exercise into the homes of women around Toronto.

My Interest in Pilates
All of my experiences and personal results with Pilates led to an awareness of how challenging, effective and intelligent this
workout can be for the entire body. My focus on achieving the correct form for executing exercises comes from my own experience of learning about how this makes all the difference! I also appreciate the wide variety of exercises and small apparatus that can be used to keep classes exciting and appealing from week to week. Most of all, I love the revitalizing sense of strength that I feel at the end of each class and the self-confidence that this facilitates.

Personal Attributes
Perhaps the most important attribute of my personality is that I truly enjoy working directly with others to help make a
difference in their level of self-confidence; in my other role as a Math Teacher, this always remains as my main source of
inspiration! Those who know me well will vouch for my compassionate nature, strong work ethic, attention to detail, meticulous organization and encouraging attitude. My goal as your Pilates Instructor will be to keep you motivated and accountable in order to inspire you to attain your own goals. I look forward to bringing all these qualities to the mat during each and every

Body Harmonics Certification
In terms of my Pilates training, I have successfully completed the following courses from the Body Harmonics program which earn the designation of a Certified Pilates Instructor: Anatomy of Movement, Mat Work Foundations, Mat Work Classics and Innovations, and Core Integrity. As one of my Continuing Education Courses, I completed a course called Pilates for Pregnancy that enables me to confidently instruct prenatal women with safe and appropriate modifications to Pilates exercises during each stage of pregnancy. Furthermore, as part of my certification requirements, I will always be enrolling in Continuing Education courses in order to enrich my knowledge and reinforce the quality of the Pilates classes that I offer.
